HOBA has announced the schedule and date of elections for the position of the President of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of Abdalians Association on its official website. The elections are scheduled to be held on 13-Mar-2011, at Cadet College Hasanabdal at the Annual General Meeting. The election schedule apparently has been dispatched to 321 registered members of HOBA through post, as against 293 members last year. A list of eligible voters has also been published on HOBA's website. (Click here to see the Voters List). This list includes one "Blank" name as well. Engr. Jameel Malik of the 11th Entry has filed his nomination papers through courier, as delivery in person is not authorised by HOBA's constitution. The elections will be held under article 19.g of the revised Memorandum and Articles of Association which were "approved" in the Special General Meeting held on 09-Dec-2009. A schedule for elections vide clause 19.g of the revised Memorandum and Articles has also been published on HOBA's official website. |

It was quite ironic to see that the scrutiny committee comprises of Dr. Faisal Manzoor, the incumbent Secretary General, Capt. (Retd) Nayyar Islam, the incumbent Secretary Finance and Mr. Amjad Saeed Yazdanie, the incumbent Member EC. This goes to show that out of 6000 Abdalians, the office bearers could not find three indepenendent persons, capable of scrutinizing the nomination papers!
