Principal, Cadet College Hasanabdal, seeks the support of Abdalians for charity donations for staff members and has requested that this announcment is published on the Abdalians website.
Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed, wing bearer of Aurangzeb Wing died on 6th May, 2007 of a sudden cardiac arrest. He has left behind a widow and six children, all below the age of seven years. The College has given employment to his married brother so that Ashfaq's widow can retain the service quarters. The cadets have collected Rs. 45,000/- before closure of the College for summer break. The Principal has promised a monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000/- starting July 2007. Amount collected for the widow shall be deposited in the National Savings Scheme for widows. which shall yield a monthly profit to help her cater for her expenses.
Mr. Rafaqat Hussain is a private employee of a faculty member. He has six daughters and the eldest is getting married for which he needs material and monetary help. Abdalians who are in a position and desirous of helping Rafaqat, may get in touch with the Principal at (057)-252-0200, 252-0201 or 252-0247. There are about three to four other employees's daughters getting ready for marriage in the near future, who all require additional help.
