Dear All,

Ever since I took over the charge of Cadet College Hasanabdal, which is the 3rd of January 2013, I have been trying to identify the problem areas needing our attention. Out of many, there is one area which deserves to be treated as a test case, and that is, the College Hospital. It is in a state of considerable disrepair, both from the stand point of fixtures and equipment, as well as of infrastructure. The roofs are leaking, floors settling and wall plasters coming apart. In short, the main Cadets’ hall presents an extremely depressing picture and needs to be re-done in a major way. My desire is to upgrade the hospital in every way with state of the art equipment and facilities to provide reasonable medical service to the Cadets and Staff. This would need a hefty sum of Rs. 6.83 Million, the details of which are attached separately.

Putting it frankly, we cannot provide funds for such a scheme out of our limited budget. Therefore, I wish to tap a very rich source that is the Old Boys, including doctors, whose affiliation and bond with the College is beyond any doubt and some of them, I am sure, may be already feeling it is pay back time. I would welcome donations from all those who will trust us for this good cause. I am proud to be the Principal of Cadet College Hasanabdal, and believing in the dictum that charity begins at home I am donating my first salary for this cause as the first drop.

Let me assure everyone that the entire process will be kept above board and absolutely transparent according to the best norms of accountancy and with timely updates on the College website.
