The Abdalians Association in a swift response to the CCH advertisement for the vacancy of an Alumni Officer a few days back, published a public notice in The News on 18 July 2013 in its Islamabad edition. The notice is directed towards Abdalians who have been asked to refrain from any such activity that divides the Abdalian community. The notice has been published through HOBA's lawyers, Manzoor Hussain Malik, Advocate High Court and it is not known whether Manzoor Hussain Malik is an Abdalian himself or not.
The notice mentions that "some people" are trying to divide Abdalians and using the CCH Principal to achieve their ends. The names of these people have not been mentioned in the notice, however, they have been warned that individual notices will be served upon them. Further legal action is also planned by HOBA, if these people do not curb such activities. The notice does not say anything on what action will be taken against Abdalians who who do not comply with this public notice and register themselves as members of the alumni body being made by the Principal.
Social media, like Facebook, immediately attracted comments by Abdalians when the news was published on Facebook by the Secretary General. All commentators basically felt belittled by the publishing of HOBA's advertisement and called it a shameful act carried out aginst their alma mater. It is felt that the race has begun for a showdown between the Board of Governors, the Principal and HOBA, as it is only the Board of Governors which can exercise any influence on the Principal and use him to achieve their ends.
