Abdalian loss in Parade Lane bomb blast

In a highly tragic incident 40 innocent people including 17 children, 10 civilian, 9 Army personnel embraced shahadat when terrorists attacked a mosque in Parade Lane, Rawalpindi, Saddar on 4th Dec, 2009. Reportedly 4 terrorists approached a mosque inside officers residential colony in Parade Lane, Rawalpindi Saddar and hurled grenades on Namazies followed by indiscriminate firing and suicide blasts.

Two suicide bombers entered the Mosque and blew themselves killing 40 Namazies who were offering Jumma prayers. Security forces personnel in the area responded immediately and two other terrorists were killed in exchange of fire.

Amongst the shaheeds were Maj. Gen. Ovais Mustafa's father and Masood Aslam's son, Hashim. Hashim's funeral took place at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi today (05-Dec-09) whilst Ovais Mustafa's fathers funeral will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi.

 

75 personnel are said to be injured in the same incident. Some of the names of those who embraced shahadat are as under

I don\'t know whether I should console the suffering families for this unbearable loss, or should I congratulate them for the shahadat of their dear ones!!!!! Whatever be the case, I pray that May Allah help us in this hour of need and guide us to the right path.
