Waqar & Mughees secure 1st & 4th positions in CSS exam 2014

Waqar Ali Khan

Muhammad Mughees Sanaullah

Four ex-cadets from Cadet College Hasanabdal did remarkably well in the 2014 CSS examination. Waqar Ali Khan from 47th Entry (Haider Wing) secured the first position in the country-wide CSS examination 2014, while Muhammad Mughees Sanaullah (2003-08, Iqbal Wing) secured the fourth position in the same examination. Usman Abdullah from the 50th Entry and Muhammad Sami Malik from the 48th Entry secured the 17th and 24th positions respectively, making it a very convincing victory for Abdalians. A total of 11,406 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which only 220 managed to pass. This makes the pass percentage to come out as 1.93%. Interestingly, out of the 220 who passed, 59 are females which makes the women representation as 26.82%.

Mughees, while commenting on his achievement said that he was grateful to God, Who had been kind to him and that he owed his success to his parents and teachers who wee a source of strength for him. His message to the students, still studying in Cadet College Hasanabdal was, "It's an honour to say that my stay at Hasanabdal has an immense contribution in making me what I am today. All those who are currently studying in the red-bricked heaven should make the most out of this great opportunity. It's indeed a life changing experience."

Usman Abdullah

Muhammad Sami Malik
