Commodore Shahid Saeed was approved for promotion by the Prime Minister to the rank of Rear Admiral on the recommendation of the Flag Officers Promotion Board presided over by the Chief of Naval Staff.

Shahid Saeed belongs to the 17th Entry (1970-1975) and currently serving in Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
