An interesting turn took place in a HOBA meeting, which was held to discuss the appeal filed by Amjad Saeed Yazdanie, against the results of the Scrutiny Committee. According to the official web site notice of Abdalians Association, "The Appellate Authority constituted a wider Committee so that the result of scrutiny is also witnessed in the light of rules and regulation." The participants of the meeting gave a unanimous decision in favour of the decision of the Scrutiny Committee for rejection of the 6 nominations. The "wider Committee" also suggested that the procedure for elections should be completed to set an "appropriate" example. You may visit the official website of HOBA to read the complete transcript of the letter.

However, then, in a complete 360 degree turn, the same "wider Committee" unanimously agreed that "for the first and the last time the candidates be allowed to participate in election, ignoring their mistakes", so as to complete the election procedure as an example. So much for the rule of law! What a great example!

Recent news flashed on web site of abdalians is frustrating and highly speaks of the mind set this country has which has never stuck to rules and always exceptions are made. How can you have sitting appointment holders be part of the scrutiny committedd, once a decision is made hwo can you have a revised decision, nominations were not enough and for all positions including President etc so simply putting it in NO elections can be held and one has to go for a new process on which propably memorandum is silent. The memorandum itself is under crtique nd we need to set that right in a much wider forum compared to where it was placed. Let us not make mockery of a organized institution just like the country higher institutions.
