Nayyar Islam appointed Secretary Finance of HOBA

Capt. (Retd) Nayyar Islam has been appointed as Secretary Finance by Syed Ashfaq Hussain, President, Abdalians Association. This announcement was made public only a few days back, through the Abdalians web site (www.abdalian.net.pk) in a donation appeal made for flood victims by Mr. Qaisar Manzoor, who was the only guest invited at the meeting of office-bearers of Abdalian Association. Nayyar Islam was the Secretary General for the last four years and his term expired in January 2010.

Congratulations Nayyar! A very well deserved appointment! Mr. Nayyar Islam, who is from the 15th Entry, has been an office bearer of Abdalians Association for more than 10 years in a row, holding almost all appointments except that of the President.

Thanks sir, May I clarify to everyone reading my comment that I was not an invited guest to the meeting, and came to know about the meeting from Dr Faisal Manzoor (my brother) who is the Secretary General HOBA. I decided to participate in that meeting on my own as I really wanted to be a contributor to the good work of relief efforts by the Abdalian Association. HOBA website has already posted my appeal within minutes of my request. I was hoping to also reach your audience. I was encouraged that you and your website had noticed the good work Mr Sarfaraz Kiyani\'s (43rd entry) and his Relief Operations at Nowshera and Charsada and indeed hoped that you would appreciate what HOBA is doing at a much larger, wider and more comprehensive scale. I wanted to benefit from my personal relation with you and the good friendship and respect you so deserve and enjoy from Faisal, Fauad and myself. I think at times like this we all must put politics and personal grudges aside and work in the common interest of the association and the efforts it is involved in. We look up to Senior Abdalian like you and The senior Abdalians must encourage the junior abdalian with their actions so please if anyone who wants to contribute to this great cause please do contact Dr Faisal Manzoor 0300-9540817 and pledge a donation that can be send directly to the association account. I believe you have been very busy lately; i am thankful that you brought up the fact that I made an appeal for donations. The official HOBA website promplty took care of my request and I certainly am hoping that you would also allow my appeal to appear on this wonderful site. In brief to all my fellow abdalian this was the content of the email to Sir Tariq Obain. APPEAL OF FUNDS FROM QAISAR MANZOOR[size=medium][/size] Dear Fellow Abdalians I had the honor and privilege to attend a meeting held by the office bearers of Hasanabdal Old Boys Association (HOBA) . One of the two subject matters discussed during the meeting were a) the establishment of a relief camp located in a very remote area that is hard to reach; b) Purchase a specific machine that specializes in the construction of bricks for low income housing with substantial strength to withstand 7.0 earthquake and future floods. The meeting was attended by President HOBA Syed Ishfaq Hussain (13th entry), V.P HOBA Engineer Mr Sikandir Khattack (11th entry), Capt Retd Nayyar Islam (16th entry), Member Executive Body Mr Amjad Saeed Yazdani , Secetary General HOBA Dr Faisal Manzoor and myself as a guest Qaisar Manzoor.
