An Institution - Bukhari Sahib passes away

It is with great grief that we have learnt of the sad demise of Bukahri Sahib (Ex-Professor of Mathematics) who passed away in the late hours of 28th December 2012 in Rawalpindi. His Namaz e Janaza was offered at 10:00 am on 29th December 2012 at the New Katarian Mosque in Satellite Town Rawalpindi.

Our prayers go out to the family in this hour of grief and we pray that Allah grants him His choicest place in Heavens. His son Tanveer Bukhari may be reached at 0332-512-6641.

Bukhari Sahib has left a large number of students behind him who have written about their feeling on Facebook. Truly an institution in his own right, he will be remembered by his students and people who brushed shoulders with him in his life time.

  • Asarulislam Syed I am so sad to hear this news. We Abdalians have lost a father today. Please convey my deepest condolences. Bukhari Sahab was from Aligarh and lit the Torch of Aligarh in Hasanabdal. I will always feel indebted to him. He was never harsh as a housemaster and he was particularly kind to me. I have lost a father today.

    Please hug Tanveer Bukhari and Azhar, and the rest of the brothers on my behalf. Tell them I have not failed them and I am upholding the Torch of Aligarh. BOKHARI SAHIB was the MUEZZIN of the MASJID. Together with Khateeb Hafiz Zahoor Ahmed Sahab, he brought the Light of Islam and made it a part of our education.

    REST IN PEACE GREAT MAN, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Bukhari Sahib and CCH were inevitable, will be impossible to fill the gap. He taught me in Metric and his memories as a affectionate and a pious man will live with me.

Bukhari Sahib was a very kind & gracious man. He was an excellent human being. I had not seen him in decades but the news of his death is such a loss. I clearly remember him as a clean shaved man despite his picture with beard.
