The Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani approved the transfers and postings of two and three-star Generals on Monday 23rd September, 2013 and the Army General Headquarters has issued notifications in this respect. Lieutenant General Naveed Zaman has been appointed as Corps Commander Lahore with immediate effect. Lieutenant General Mazhar Jameel has been appointed as MS, succeeding Gen Naveed Zaman.
Lt. Gen. Naveed Zaman belongs to the 19th Entry and is also one of the Members of the Board of Governors of Cadet College Hasanabdal.

He was my House master in Omar Wing when I landed in CCH 10th Entry 1963. I can not forget two things one his extremely well made hair and removing his wrist watch while twisting your ear which wud indicate that a good slap is following.
