Adnan Afaq (16th Entry) left Askari Bank Limited to join Askari Investments Linited as its Chief Executive Officer. The company is a year old now and Adnan is its first CEO. Previously operating from Jinnah Super Market, he now sits on the fifth floor of Green Towers in Blue Area.
Adnan has an experience of more than 20 years in different banks and financial institutions. He is a chartered accountant by profession, qualifying from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He joined Askari bank in 2002 and set up its planning and corporate affairs, where he worked at various merger and acquisition transactions. He subsequently led the teamin setting up of Askari Investment Management Company Ltd.
He also worked for Prime Commercial Bank as its Chief Financial Officer, Head of Consumer Banking and Head of Operations.He was the chief architect of the accounting and MIS control systems. He has extensively contributed in Deutsche Bank by being involved in budgeting, evaluating customer profitablity, provisioning and formulating the marketing plans. Adnan has also worked with A. F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants ( a member firm of Price Waterhouse Coopers).
