Mr Dilshad's death has marked the end of a great era of pioneer stalwarts who made Cadet College Hasanabdal into a glorious institution. The college would not have achieved so much without his selfless devotion and commitment. His life was entirely devoted to the cause of education and grooming young generation. Many of his students are successfully serving in different capacities around the globe. We wish that he is equally successful in his eternal life and pray that Almighty Allah gives him a special place in Jannat. Ameen Date of Posting: 15 July 2015 Posted By: Shahid Saeed Islamabad |

He was my House master in Omar Wing when I landed in CCH 10th Entry 1963. I can not forget two things one his extremely well made hair and removing his wrist watch while twisting your ear which wud indicate that a good slap is following. He was probably the only teacher who wud frequently do this . Many years later I used to drop my daughters at APS bringing them from my village ahead of Sihala. One day when we got late the school gate shut though not bolted so I just pushed it open slightly and let the children enter. From the little opening I just saw the school assembly and told my daughters to go and join their class. Just minutes later when I wanted to peep in if all had gone well when I just opened the door slightly it gave way and there stood Sir SDH. "Come in" He ordered and I walked in the school shivering in uniform thanks God the children had disappeared in the gathering . "So its you again, tum kub insan bano gay" and believe me next I thought he is about to remove his watch but then he was a changed man. All his students think he loved them most, we did love him and respect him from the core of our hearts. Date of Posting: 13 July 2015 Posted By: Shahid Hameed Rawalpindi |
It is with a very heavy heart, I share the news that my mentor, my teacher, ex-principal Fauji Foundation College, Syed Dilshad Hussain Sb passed away in Rawalpindi this morning. Inna Lillah Hay Wa Inna Elehe Raje'oon. Namaz e Janaza of Dilshad Sb will be offered at 2 pm on Monday 13th July at Army Graveyard, Rawalpindi. For me and I can say this with complete confidence that for many others as well, he was an institution. My first memory of Dilshad Sb is him wearing a grey coat with green elbow patches, back-combed hair, a properly dressed man. How can I forget my first interaction with him where he asked me to pick a cane of my choice to get beaten up, "Gentleman: Allah Bukhsh or Maula Bukhsh". And Sir, THANK YOU for sorting me out. It really helped. It really did! I also remember, when I answered noun's definition correctly and you gave me a sweet. Good old days. When I started webmekanics from home, there came a time when I had to move into another premises and it was then, when I moved into a house where Dilshad Sb lived as he was moving out. I have memories with you Sir. I also recall, how you remembered my name when we met in Cadet College Hasanabdal and asked me, "You still bad in Math?" and we had a great laugh! Sir I'm sure you are at a much better place. Myself and all your students will never forget your commitment, love, passion, honour, dignity and honesty. Thank you for being a great teacher, a father-figure and my very own mentor. I would request you all to say a prayer for my beloved Dilshad Sb. I hope I can play my part in keeping his spirit, compassion, integrity and honour in this world with the loving manner - how he lived! May your soul rest in peace, Sir.
