Brig Khakwani & Brig Masood Fazil host brunch for 17th Entry

Brig. Athar Naeem Khakwani and Brig. Masood Fazil hosted a sumptuous brunch for their 17th Entry classmates in Bhurban Golf Club, Murree, on 2nd May, 2010. This was a long awaited lunch given by the two doctors celebrating their promotions to the rank of brigadiers. Brig. Khakwani is currently serving as Commandant CMH Murree, while Brig. Masood Fazil is serving in Medical Directorate in the GHQ. It was a well attended function and almost all 17th Entry boys from Rawalpindi and Islamabad were present. Shoaib Ishtiaq, made the biggest effort and flew in from Karachi for this brunch, while Asad Raheel drove some 400 kilometers from Lahore. Not to mention that Nasir Subhani, who had come from Australia for a visit here decided to stay back for this lunch. The lush green fairways of the golf course were a great attraction for the ladies. |

The weather on Sunday morning was absolutely great giving the Pindi-ites a respite from the May-heat. Nasir Subhani had organised a golf putting match for ladies and children, which was won by Mrs. Sajid Ali Khan, with Mrs. Babar Rashid and Mrs. Khalid Farouq coming second and third respectively. There was yet another group, playing a mini-golf tournament, comprising Tariq Obed, Shahid Saeed, Amjad Riaz and his wife. Brig. Khakwani had arranged for a wonderful lunch with BBQ and items like palak paneer and chicken cram korma on the menu. Despite Asad Raheel's best efforts to nominate the next host, nobody could come to a concensus as to who should it be. At around 4pm, with Aminullah being the first to leave the group also decided to disperse. |
