The Secretary General, Capt. (Retd) Nayayr Islam in his annual report at the AGM on Sunday, 25th January 2009 mentioned that the Abdalians Association did not have a permanent office which posed hindrance in the operations of the Association. He further said that Lt. Gen. Mohsin Kamal had facilitated in acquiring office premises in the Pindi Club Building, but the option was dropped due to the fact that the Association could not afford the rental of Rs. 10,000 per month.
At this point, Tariq O. Rehman (17th Entry) stood on a point of order and lauded the contribution made by Syed Ashfaq Hussain towards facilitation in providing office space to the Abdalians Association since 1999. He further said, that Ashfaq Hussain had not only helped in providing office space, but had also made available his staff for rendering administrative services to the Association, apart from taking on all expenses related to meeting held in his premises. Tariq asked the House to recognize the services rendered by Syed Ashfaq Hussain, to which the House gave a big round of applause.
Syed Ashfaq Hussain (11th Entry) was elected as the President in January 2008 and is the Chief Executive Officer of Karcon (Pvt) Limited.
