It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sad demise of Prof Syed Dilshad Hussain who passed away earlier today, 12-July-2015. He was suffering from protracted illness and was admitted in ICU at CMH Rawalpindi. May Allah Almighty give him His choicest place in Heavens and give the family, friends, and thousands of students the courage to bear this irreparable loss.
His namaz-e-janaza will be offered at Army Graveyard, Rawalpindi at 2 pm on Monday, 13th July, 2015.
Prof. Dilshad Hussain was born in 1933 and after doing his masters in history from Govt. College Lahore, joined Cadet College Hasanabdal in 1954 and would proudly say that he was Mr. Catchpole's discovery. During his distinguished career he served in various positions in the College, as Assistant House Master, House Master, Vice Principal and heading the College as its Principal. Thousands of boys passed through his tutelage and then later served this country with honour and distinction in various fields like the defence forces, engineering, medicine, business etc,. After retirement from Cadet College Hasanabdal he headed the Fauji Foundation School for Girls, Humayun Road and then as Principal Fauji Foundation College for Boy's. Due to his long and outstanding services to the cause of education in general and his contribution to Cadet College Hasanabdal in particular he was also conferred upon, and is the proud recipient of the award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz..

In one of the messages to an Abdalian Group, one of his former student, Brig. Noor Uddin Ahmed (9th Entry) remembered Prof Dilshad Hussain in the following words - "With the departure of Prof Dilshad an institution has come to an en. A human being par excellence, a dedicated teacher and a very loving and loveable personality". Brig Noor has aptly echoed the sentiments of the whole Abdalian community.
