Annual Dinner at Islamabad Club

The first annual dinner organized by the new Management of Abdalian Association was held on 22 June 2006 at Islamabad Club.The highlight of the dinner was musical function with sole appreance by Abrar ul Haq, who sang and entertained many requests from the audience.

The function was very well attended by Abdalians and their families , many of whom had come from Lahore and Peshawar.The dinner consisted of a variety of barbeque and traditional menu.

Rafey Shahid and Khalid Sayood's father passes away

It is with profound grief that we have learnt about the sad demise of Shahid Rafey and Khalid Sayood's father. He passed away on Sunday, 13th June, 2010. Our condolences go out to both Shahid Rafey (13th Entry) and Khalid Sayood (15th Entry) and their families, with our prayers that may Allah give them the courage to bear this great loss and may He bless the departed soul.

The namaz-e-janaza will be offered after Asar prayers on 15th June 2010 at the Old Islamabad Graveyard in Sector H-8. Shahid Rafey's cell number is 0333-837-4589 while he may also be contacted at his home. The address is House No. 32, Street 32, F-7/4, Islamabad.

Elections of Executive Committee 2005-2007

Elections for the Executive Committee (EC) of Abdalians’ Association were held on 29 Jan 2006 at Cadet College Hasanabdal. The event was very well attended by Abdalians who registered themselves at the registration counters set up between the education block and staff room. The elections which were supposed to be held in December 2005 were delayed for a month as a suitable date could not be obtained from the College authorities.

Dr. Hamid Hassan's mother passes away

It is with profound grief that we have learnt about the sad demise of Dr. Hamid Hassan's mother on 31st May 2010. Our condolences go out to both Dr. Hamid and his father, Lt. Gen. Mahmood ul Hassan with our prayers that may Allah give them the courage to bear this great loss and may He bless the departed soul. her funeral was held in Rawalpindi on 1st June, 2010.

Dr. Hamid Hassan belongs to the 17th Entry (Haider Wing) and is serving as Professor of Surgery at Rawalpindi General Hospital.

Prof. Ayub Shah passes away

It is with deep regret that we have learnt of the sad demise of Prof. Ayub Shah. He was a retired faculty member and used to teach Technical Drawing to cadets who were in the Pre-Engg group. His namaz-e-janaza was offered in Wah Cantt on 26-Apr-2010.

We pray to Allah Almighty to bless his soul and give him a heavenly abode and give his family the courage to bear this irraparable loss.

We will appreciate if anyone has Prof. Ayub Shah's picture and contact details of his son, which could be published here.
