Brigadier Rashid Ali Malik (Retd) was elected as President of World Association of Detectives Inc., in its elections held recently. All Pakistan Security Agencies Association (APSAA) in its executive committee meeting on Saturday last week unanimously passed a resolution lauding its Chairman on being elected as President of World Association of Detectives Inc. Brig. Rashid Malik is a senior Abdalian and is also the President of Alumni Chapter in Karachi. He is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Security 2000, a leading security company with its Headquarters in Karachi. |
Brigadier Malik served in the Pakistan Army for 32 years and participated in two wars and received 17 medals for distinguished service. His last five years of service were in airport security in Pakistan. He was Chairman of the Regional ICAO Hijacking Council from 1993 to 1995.
He obtained Bachelor Degrees from Peshawar University and Quetta University. He holds a Masters Degree in War Studies as well. His secondary and intermediate education is from Cadet College Hasanabdal.
After retiring from the military service in 1996 he established his own security company in 1997. There are currently 8 offices in Pakistan and abroad. He is President of Security 2000 Ltd. He is qualified from the U.S. in executive protection, industrial security, crisis management, and aviation security. He is also a defense analyst and has written for newspapers and appeared as a commentator on television on military and global affairs. He is a member of INTA, IACP, ASIS and WAD. He holds 20 gold medals in basketball and tennis. He was also Captain of the Pakistan basketball team for 13 years.
In 2004 he received the distinguished “Neal Holmes, Sr. Memorial Security Professional of the Year” presented by the World Association of Detectives in Moscow. Until recently he was serving as a Director for WAD.
