A couple of weeks back, Mr. Sikander Khattak (11th Entry) threw a dinner for Abdalians at Virsa Cafe in Islamabad. It was an informal dinner which was attended by Mr. Asif Malik, Principal, Cadet College Hasanabdal as well. Most of the guests were from the 11th Entry, however, younger Abdalians were there as well. Amongst the senior Abdalians, those who participated included, Air Marshall (R) Syed Qaiser Hiussain, Maj. Gen. (R) Zahid Pervez, Syed Ashfaq Hussain (Ex-President of HOBA), Prof. Shoaib Shafi, the incumbent President HOBA, Dr. Faisal Manzoor, Mr. Nayyer Islam.
At one of the tables, a conversation started about the elections and the way they are held every year at Cadet College. Most people were of the view that the election process should be transparent and should be held in a cordial environment.
Although the guests started pouring in a little late, almost all guests had arrived by 9pm. The dinner was sumptuous and people liked the exotic fish on the menu. At around 11pm, Mr. Asif Malik left the venue as he had to travel to Hasanabdal, whereafter the guests also started to leave.
