Abdalians Alumni Home is THE place to get to know what Abdalians are doing. It has no political affiliation with any group or entry, or even the office bearers of HOBA. This web site is being maintained by Abdalian's, who's sole intent is to keep the community informed and keep them abreast of whats happening in the lives of fellow alumni.

Dr. Shoaib Shafi's son gets married

Dr. Shoaib Shafi's son, Najam ul Hasan Shafi got married to Mr. Ghulam Hussain's daughter 23rd November, 2011. The Nikah ceremony was held at Golra Sharif and the barat function was held in Jhelum the following day, where Dr. Shoaib's entry-mates in Lahore participated in good numbers. The Walima reception was held at Shoaib's farmhouse in Islamabad on 25th November, 2011.  The walima was attended by a large cross-section of people including the doctors fraternity, Shoaibs friends and family, his teachers from Cadet College Hasanabdal and a large number of 17th Entry Abdalians along with their families.

We wish Najam ul Hasan a very happy future and success in life. Najam ul Hasan is a doctor too and belongs to the 46th Entry (Iqbal Wing). Dr. Shoaib Shafi is Professor of Medicine and serving at Rawalpindi General Hospital, Murree Road, Rawalpindi. He belongs to the 17th Entry and was in Iqbal Wing.

Kamal Uddin Tipu joins UNOAU

Kamal Uddin Tipu was recently sent on deputation to Addis Ababa, Ethopia as the Police Planning Adviser at the UN Office to the African Union (UNOAU). He joined the UN Office in late April this year. The UNOAU provides short term operational and long term planning support to the African Union for the peacekeeping mission in Somalia apart from planning & advisory for establishment of African Standby Force for various regions in the Continent.

Kamal Tipu belongs to the 16th Entry and prior to joining the UNOAU was serving as DIG Headquarters In Islamabad.

Dr. Naeem Ajaz's daughter gets married to Qasim

Dr. Naeem Ajaz's daughter, Zara, got married to Qasim (son of Mr. Ali Asghar Hasnain) on Friday, 11th November, 2011, making it one wedding on 11-11-11 that Zara shall always remember. The wedding venue was Paradise Complex, which has lately become the preferred venue for weddings in Islamabad and was attended by a large gathering of people. The guests included a large number of doctors and Abdalian friends and entry-mates. We all wish Zara and Qasim a very happy and prosperous future.

Zara's mehndi was also a well attended event on 10th November, 2011 and arranged on the sprawling lawns of 1969 restaurant near Lok Virsa in Islamabad. The light drizzle initially and a good rain-shower later did not deter the young boys and girls on either side of the families to enjoy the evening amidst the fast-beat music.

Dr. Naeem Ajaz is currently serving in FBR in Islamabad.
