Plot for sale in Abdalians Society Lahore
The 13 marla corner plot is one of the best located in the Abdalians Housing Society. It falls right on the 80 feet main double road. As you enter ACHS from canal side, you will come across the Society Office on your right and a commercial plot on your left opposite the society office. A-40 is next to the commercial plot across a dividing road. Garden is on its left, across the main road. Civic center and mosque will be built on the two corners of this garden. So, the plot is ideally located.
Jamshed did not like the idea of permission of sales to outsiders because he remains a staunch advocate of Abdalian brotherhood. But, somehow, he is constrained to let the plot slip out of his hands. He is not approaching property dealers to float it among outsiders but is left with no choice if any brother does not seem interested.
The current value is Rs. 5.50 million and he would like to have 40% as down payment with a grace period of only two weeks from now on. You are advisesd to check its current market value. He is told that the present value is almost likely to double after June 2008 when work on the international expo center starts in the area.

Admiral (R) Arshad Munir's first death anniversary
Quran khwani in respect of the first death anniversary of Admiral (R) Arshad Munir will be held on Sunday, 17th January, 2010 between 3-6 pm. Arrangements for both, ladies and gentlemen, have been made at his residence at B-40, Naval Housing Scheme, Zamzama, DHA, Karachi.
Admiral Arshad Munir belonged to the 5th Entry and was the Chairman of AMCO Minerals. He had earlier served as Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard.

New offfice bearers announced in the AGM
The Annual General Meeting's key event like always was the election of the President, Secretary General and Members of the Executive Committee. Syed Ashfaq Hussain (11th Entry) was declared the President and was elected unopposed. Brig. Ahmed Riza Siddiqi from the 10th entry and son of Prof. Siddiqi (late) withdrew his nomination papers in favor of Syed Ashfaq Hussain. Capt (R) Nayyar Islam (15th Entry) was elected as the Secretary General after Dr. Faisal Manzoor (22nd Entry) withdrew his name in Nayyar's favor.
The AGM of Abdalians' Association was held at Cadet College Hasanabdal on 27th January, 2008. It was presided by the patron-in-chief, A/Cdre Tayyab Akhtar, Principal Cadet College Hasanabdal. The day started with the usual tea and registration in the lawns between the education block and the staf room. After offering dua at the Shuhada Monument the boys went into Naeem Hall to participate in the proceedings of the AGM, which started of with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The principal, A/Cdre Tayyab Akhtar made the opening speech and told the audience of what the College administration was doing for a better relationship with the Abdalians Association and the well being of the cadets in general. He gave a specific mention about entry into the College by ex-cadets and why it was necessary to have proof of identification given at the time of entry. He also requested Abdalians to give prior notice of their visit to the College due to security concerns.

AGM Agenda and Message from the Secretary General
Dear Abdalians
It is my pleasure to inform you that the Annual General Meeting of your Association will be held, Inshallah, on Sunday 27 Jan 2008. Detailed programme is attached. As the current Executive Committee is completing its two year term, elections for the new President, three members and Secretary General will also be held on the same day. All members present on the day, who have paid their dues, are eligible to vote.
All Abdalians desirous of contesting have been advised to contact the Secretary General latest by 20 Jan 2008. Nomination papers can be submitted on a plain paper duly proposed and seconded by members. In case of more than one candidate election will be held by splitting of the house as per Memorandum and Articles of Association.
I take this opportunity to request you to please make it convenient to attend. Also please pass it to your entry mates and friends in case they have not received it.

Abdalians meet at Holiday Inn
A small event which started two years ago, has now taken the shape of a regular meeting of Abdalians in Islamabad. The 24th such meeting was held on 24th January, 2008 at the Holiday Inn. Dr. Afaq Hussain, who now heads the Dept of Computer Science at Air University has been the driving force behind this.
Nice Abdalians were present at this meeting, which is basically meant to provide an opportunity to Abdalians and their families to get together on a more frequent basis and get to know one another. Amongst the people present were, Dr. Shakaib Anwar, Dr. Afaq Hussain, Dr. Saeed Lehrasab, Zahid Bhatti, Dr. Bilal. Mr. Shaheed Gaylani, a senior Abdalian, who happened to be in the hotel also came and sat for a little while.
This meeting is normally held on the first Sunday of every month and rotates between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. For more information please contact Dr. Afaq Hussain.
